Living Without Boundaries

"So our thoughts, imagination, and choices can change the structure and function of our brains on every level: molecular, genetic, epigenetic, cellular, structural, neurochemical, electromagnetic, and even subatomic." Caroline Leif.
This process, as explained by Dr. Leif is called Neuroplasticity. It refers to the brain’s ability to change its structure and function by expanding or strengthening the neural circuits that are used, while shrinking or weakening those that are rarely engaged.
This level of knowledge of human behavior was not thought possible just a few short years ago. It is revoluntionary to think that we can actually change the struture of our brain by the thoughts we create and entertain. The effect that theapplication of this knowledge can have on the outcome of emotional, cognitive, and spiritual living is life changing.
For those seeking higher levels of effectiviness and resilinecy in their lives, the truth of neuroplasticity begs one to entertain the possibilities of a life without boundaries.

The Disciplined Life

The Disciplined Life

August 15, 2016

"The secret to a disciplined life is sequential habit forming." Gary Keller.

Discipline is a concept that has fallen out of favor in our current culture, but for centuries it has been taught as the cornerstone of a succesful life. To appreciate and understand the art of discipline one must first wrestle with the concept of passion. Without passion discipline has no meaning. The process of embracing ones passion is a deep dive into who one truly is and what ones real purpose in life is. Simply put, it is the cognitive, emotional, and spiritual effort of an examined life. To choose this path of authenticity is certainly the road less traveled. For those with the courage to see not only the reality of their own lives, but the reality of world around them, the journey is life alterating. The resulting heightened quality of life serves not only the seeker but all mankind.

"To move through pain to wisdom, through fear to courage, through suffering to strength." Eric Greitens.
